Just because a person has a disability does not change who they are............you do have some that play thier disability to the limit, but that is how they chose to deal with it. Most disabled people I have met are very cool people and try thier best to get on life, no matter the obstacles they face.

I've deaf friends if u call that a disability......

I have a lot of compassion for the mentally disabled, since it doesn't readily show at first glance. I believe that many of the disabled are dismissed unless they're missing limbs etc.

very true paws .. for ages mental disabilty was treated with disdain and still is some cases and there varying levels of that disabilty as there is with physical limitations.

It shouldn't depend but we both know a lot a people are uncomfortable with people with disabilities. I think people are afriad of what they don't know enough about so education is the key.....
