That's not true, you have obviously had bad experiences, however, not all women are the same. I could say the same for men, however, not all men are the same. You are generalising, and talking from your own experience.

It depends on who the person is, first of all. Secondly, I would just let them "listen" to themselves, and ask them if they are conscious of what they are doing and/or saying. Perhaps let it just wash over you, but most importantly, don't take it personally:) Whatever happens, there are always consequences to our actions:)
