You work at it you talk to them and you include them in everything. I am looking for someone who would include my kids as part and parcel of me, they dont need a new father cos they already have one, but yes a father figure and them seeing that mum was being taken care of would make them extremely happy..........I am one of the lucky ones and am still good friends with my ex and his new wife so any new serious partner would also need to become friends with the ex also. My kids always come first but they are adults and they just want mum to be happy...................

My dad told me recently that any new man would have to be checked out by him prior to any date...........................bless him, i am 50 years old but he is old school

I love a bit of romance and the first date would be totally up to the guy, if he is that attentive and that sweet then I would trust his juddment on an ideal first date, he can take me out anytime after his chat with my father
