I found myself telling guys POLITELY and FIRMLY over and over again that this isn't a picture book, that they should read profiles.
Then it dawned on me that this place really is treated like a picture book, so I put some text on my main picture. Guess what, it has cut way down on the unwanted emails.

You might want to put your key qualifiers right on your picture.
I had my debit card skimmed in broad daylight at a subway station in NYC buying 3 day passes. I was traveling with my daughter and her girlfriend.
I started to get identical test charges to my card in groups of 4. I was racking my brain trying to figure out where I might have had done 4 charges. Chinatown? That sushi restaurant in Brooklyn?
Then I remembered swiping my card to get the 3 day passes for the subway. I thought I could get all three at once. I couldn't, so I cancelled that first transaction and did 3 individual swipes to buy the passes. That was 4 swipes.
I remember that morning clearly. 8:30am on a sunny Monday morning. Rush hour. The subway station bustling with activity. One or more ticket machines skimming credit card information from hundreds and hundreds of people....
No one in authority wanted to know about my evidence, my facts. Not my bank. Not the NY Subway system authorities, not even the NY Times reporter who published an article on how the subway system computers were running slow Monday morning for no apparent reason.
I tried to make people listen. The bank simply closed down my card and reimbursed me for bogus charges. "Don't worry. You will get all your money back." No one wanted to panic the population with the thought that this was one of many routine skimming operations harvesting hundreds of thousands card numbers.
Most guys treat this sites as picture books, Unfortunately they don't read profiles and ignore requests for Colorao only.
After getting too many messages from Maine, Florida, Texas, California, etc. I decided to put DENVER COLORADO ONLY right on my picture. I don't think they were SPAMMERS, just clueless men.
It is really starting to grate on me how many men do not read profiles, I wish I could limit incoming messages by states, so that I would only get messages from Colorado. I get so many messages from Maine, Florida, Texas, California,,,
I suggest they look into remedial reading classes at the local community college.
I am from MD too, Just this morning, I thought I would peek... and it was gone!
XQUSME told me about this place. I appreciate the posts here about the last days at MD.
Most messages I get are from places other than DENVER, even though I clearly state I am not looking for SKYPE, CHAT or any form of long distance. Some things never change,
I find myself suggesting remedial reading classes...
