So here's the thing. I grew up two blocks from the beach and always walked. The walk back home was very "irritating" if the sand got into the wrong places. Showering immediately after getting home fixed most things, but not all The beach I went to was essentially private (no parking on the streets, no businesses, no showers, etc). Even if there had been a shower there it's likely not something I'd have used. Not big on public pools either.
Eh? Do I like them? Sure. Do I participate? As much as my 61 year old body tolerates. Mostly golf and exercise these days.
I rarely go to live events any more. I never was big on crowded stadiums, ticket prices, parking, hassles getting home, etc. Seems like the world is catching up to me nowadays. I'm rarely ever glued to a TV during a sporting event. I'll typically have it on in the background while multitasking.
I understand them being part and parcel of all discussion/forum/blog sites considering where the world is, but that's seemingly all anyone wants to discuss. And if party A doesn't agree with party B they're obviously an idiot or evil or both.
I miss the times in forums when socially inept people would wonder why they couldn't get a date... sigh
I've never had any desire to talk about religion or politics
@KP I don't think I've heard anyone here call it a pizza pie in many years. Maybe it's a thing of the past.@Molly~~~ Can't we lay on a blanket in a meadow somewhere instead?
