This is a question that I have struggled with but I now believe I have the answer and it's blindingly simple. Women want their man to be honest. It seems like a very simple thing to do but most men find it very hard indeed to be honest as they will have invented a persona for themselves or are hiding 'secrets'. If a man is totally and completely honest from the first moment of contact with a woman then there will be no ambiguity and no surprises. If there is a match then it will be an honest match. With honesty a mis-match will be discovered early on and precious time will not be wasted.
Most women, I have found (and I am saying 'most', not 'all'), are very honest and will tell it as it is regardless of how the truth will be received. Men, on the other hand, seem to want to avoid pain and responsibility and will tell lie after lie to try to make things seem better than they are (or give the impression they are single when, in fact, they are part of a couple). Unfortunately women get caught up in those lies and and up being dreadfully hurt - I know this because some of my female friends have been hurt badly by men that lie. I am not afraid to admit that in my past there were episodes that I am not proud of but I have learned my lesson and I am happy to say that I now live an honest and truthful life. It's a wonderful place to be and guys, I recommend you try it.
That's a lovely honest piece you have written and I adore it. Spending time alone and enjoying it is actually an achievement that few people make but it is important for self development. Loving oneself and being able to spend time alone is a pre-requisite to loving someone else. You should pat yourself on the back and smile broadly as you enjoy your time alone.
