I can't speak for every guy, just for myself. I work 10 hour days Mon - Thurs running from one end of the building to the other making sure things are going well with the temps we have working for us plus trying to do my own work. At the end of the workday, I'm too beat to do anything, much less go out. Weekends are saved for catching up on housework and whatever else needs doing. I'm not into the bar or club scene and prefer not to be drinking if I have to drive. Being out in the sticks, any place I go would be at least a 30 minute drive. @TOMODASHI - I met my present wife here in '06 and then married her July '07. I'm the one who picked up and moved which was a mistake as the recession was beginning about then. Because of the lack of jobs in NC I have been back in NH for 15 months waiting for divorce papers. CS for me at present is a place to get to know others and make friends.
I'm guessing you haven't been here long. Like in the "real" world, things take time here. I was here for 10 months before I started talking to someone. We met in the forums and started talking on IM shortly after. We were married on July 14 '07 after talking on IM and the phone plus traveling back and forth. Like Langley said, join us in the Int Forums and let everyone get to know you. Who knows, you may find that special someone there
Two weeks and you expect instant results? I was here for 10 months before I met someone who got me interested. To tell the truth, I didn't do too much in the way of searching and sending emails, I jumped right into the forums which is where I met my present wife.
I don't want you to take the following statement the wrong way. I checked your profile and there isn't a whole lot for someone to go on. There is no self description and what you are looking for. Personally, I would skip right past you on that alone.
A picture isn't important the way I see it as some have different reasons for not posting one. I prefer getting to know the personality first. My wife didn't have one because she is computer illiterate and it was several weeks before she was able to send one through email with the help of her daughter.
My advice, fill in the self description and join us in the International Forums so others can get to know you. Who knows, you may find the one you are searching for there Don't expect instant results. Even in the real world, things take time.
