Two weeks and you expect instant results? I was here for 10 months before I met someone who got me interested. To tell the truth, I didn't do too much in the way of searching and sending emails, I jumped right into the forums which is where I met my present wife.

I don't want you to take the following statement the wrong way. I checked your profile and there isn't a whole lot for someone to go on. There is no self description and what you are looking for. Personally, I would skip right past you on that alone.

A picture isn't important the way I see it as some have different reasons for not posting one. I prefer getting to know the personality first. My wife didn't have one because she is computer illiterate and it was several weeks before she was able to send one through email with the help of her daughter.

My advice, fill in the self description and join us in the International Forums so others can get to know you. Who knows, you may find the one you are searching for there
Don't expect instant results. Even in the real world, things take time.

Seriously, the pic is important to attract someone and have them to go out on a limb and drop you a line. So I suggest you to pick a great picture of yours, upload it and see how much it changes! I don't consider myself shallow just because I search only women with a picture, nor I consider shallow a woman refusing to answer back to me just because she doesn't like my face. After all this is a dating site, don't forget it. Men and women trying to attract each other, right? Yes, you always can sneak around the dating thing and stick to pure friendship, penpals or something. But if you really wanted to make only friends, why did you chose a dating site and not other internet groups or something?

You need to put some effort into the site also, try and send message, flower or card, if you see someone of interest.
Two weeks is no time at all.
Yes a pic would help not so much for looks but so people have a idea of whom they are talking to send it private if you like.
