Hey John. I agree with the lovely people who have commented thus far. I've been reading through your blogs and you sound like an awesome person. Unfortunately life has a way of tipping us upside down so we land on our heads. Ouch. Just like being dumped by a monstrous wave at Snapper Rocks, here in Queensland. Nice to look at but perilous sometimes. I have days like that, as does most everyone out there. I think that the key to surviving those down moments - when your self esteem hits rock bottom and you don't believe that you're worthy of walking on this beautiful planet - you have to have hope. You've got to dredge down a long way to get to it sometimes, but you SHOULDN'T give up, because it's there and believe me, it's darn well worth it. So many awesome people out there who care about you - you only have to look at your friends on here to know what I mean. Anyway, I'd miss your blogs, they keep me sane. Hey. I'm new to these blogs. I hear what you're saying justmejohn. It's too true. There are people out there who don't consider how their words make other people feel - and then there are the ones out there who know full well what they are attempting to do and there's no excuse for their behaviour. I think that the word "evil" is a very apt one. We're all human beings; we all have good and bad days. I have always tried to imagine how other people are feeling - I've always reached out to people, and the little things - like smiling at someone on the street, someone who looks worried or down, that's really important. It feels like such a small, inconsequential gesture, but it means SO much to the other person. It can change the way that person embraces their day. I know how it makes ME feel when someone bestows an unexpected act of kindness on me. So easy to do...what we send out to the universe and to those around us will return to us in equal measure. I try to receive good things back.
