Dear Bajanblue, First, my heart goes out to you as I have lost many people in my life in the same way...drifting away, lost or our time together in physical proximity came to it's natural ending. It sounds like you and T. fed each others souls in a very special way...real love between two beings is forever. No one can ever take away what you gave to each other.
A dear friend of mine who is now lost to me used to say "people who come into our lives are with us for a reason or a season". I have learned how true this is and although I, like you, worrying and grieve from time to time, I have come to know that in the deepest sense that we hold onto our boats in the great oceans of uncertainty with little control and perhaps he will resurface. But if he never does you can still communicate on a different plane of reality, forever.
