I'd have to agree, though perhaps not so poetically :p
We spend our youngest years in schools learning, then some of us go to uni, but eventually most people end up with their nose to the daily grind. We should be having the time of our lives, not slaving away 8-6 (as now seems more common), coming home exhausted with much of the rest of our lives in apparent disarray...
The way I see it, if you set out looking for the full on relationship from the start, you are going to lose out most of the time. Any time you meet someone new that you like, you don't immediately go 'hey I want to marry you' or 'I love you' do you?
I would say just relax and see where things go, if it doesnt end in something serious at least you had fun, right?
