PEOPLE TALK OF SPRINGSTEENS 4HR SHOWS, BUT RORY WAS ALSO KNOWN FOR SUCH THINGS, AS WAS THE CASE WHEN I SAW HIM. there is also a rory tribute in philly i think, every year.
thanks i was on here a year ago,w pic and different name, different times for me now, but still like to be involved in forums, like to meet people with similar music intrests. saw rory gallagher 20 years ago, R.I.P.
thanks, no apology really needed im inro music, collecting music, reading about it, and conversations about music. its difficult to really chat casually with people about it, most people arent open about music, or the big hits-radio is all they know, i always say for every led zeppelin' there were 100 other bands doing similar things, just as interesting, but they for some reason didnt get the break, these are the types of bands/artists i seek out, not that theres anything wrong with led zep but there was/is so much more out there to discover/enjoy.
isnt it just sweet how noboby responds to my posts? is it that i'm new here or is it that i don't have a pic up yet? im basically on here to get into the music related forums, maybe chat with kindred spirits. like the thread by the way.
other favorites,, Roy Buchanan-Hookfoot-early to mid period Bob Seger-Heartsfield-Coco Montoya-Buddy Guy-Koko Taylor-John Mayall- the Frost-Johnny Cash--The Mermen-...ect,ect..... also love bluegrass, jazz, zydeco, classical, punk, oldies, 40's to the 70's country, don't trust the radio for your music, investigate on your own, when a friend turns you on to something you're not familiar with give it a chance, read a magazine article about a band you've never heard of.
im american but do love rock, blues, folk, or all roots music from all over the world, as for favorites, Doug Sahm-Ian Hunter-Merrell Fankhauser-Iggy- Mott-the Rationals-Mc5-Rory Gallagher- the list could go on & on,

ITS THE FOLLOWUP TO THE GREAT "SHRUNKEN HEADS" its not shrunken heads 2 IAN never made the same album twice like alot of bands/artists do, but taken on its own merits a fine record by this 71 yr old legend, this and the MOTT THE HOOPLE REUNION, IN OCTOBER!!!! LIFE IS GOOD.
