Records are GROOVY, both literally and figuratively. I have some cool ones. Rolling Stones, Their Satanic Magesties Request is my coolest record. I have Woodstock, Hair, the Barbarella soundtrack, a few Beatles records, etc. What records do you have?

Another record collector. I have & yes its scary 920 albums.
I have quite a large colection of rare & autographed albums. Sgt Peppers & all the double albums are excellent because they added all these extras into the album

Awesome!!! Do you have the mythical Shadows of Knight record they gave away with potato chips? I don't have that one, but I think I have the Billy and the Boingers one that came with a Bloom County book. Hehe! I saw Pauly and Ringo in concert. Some day, I'd like to see Sean and Julian.
I'm starting to look at those newfangled Ipods. Infinite music, itty bitty storage space. but I love my records. Anyone ever hear of The FUGS? Any Zappa fans?

Witchaywoman: The Fugs used to crack me up. I was listening to Smothers Brothers records last night. Comedy records rule. I have one old Lenny Bruce on red vinyl.

No, you don't have to do that. it's a nice offer but i get most of my records from garage sales and thrift stores. I just dusted off my old records and gave a few a spin. that's what inspired this thread. I thought that I bet there are lots of record nuts on CS. I decided to get rid of my tiny handfull of 80s pop records.
Does anyone have those really old glassy looking records? I bought a record player with the 16 33 45 and 78 speeds. First it zapped me. i opened it up and found the bent thingy that was naking it all zappy. Very technical talk here. Don't try to comprehend it if you are not a record collector. Hehe. Then, I ordered a needle from Radio Shack online and never put the needle in. Not sure if the turntable is good or not. The eight track aand speakers worked beautifully last time I checked.
