You can not bootleg a record! A cassette tape maybe....but records break when you try to put them in your boot. The term bootleg came from selling booze and the bottles were slipped into a person's boots to hide them. Them records will break....I promise!rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

Inthewoods: I have a bootleg Led Zepplin album, " live on blueberry hill " that is nice, also a bootleg Jethro Tull album

Are you talking about records? Bootleg records? I never saw an actual record that was abviously a bootleg. I had a boyfriend who knew about a secret bootleg casette store where he got cheap 80s music.

Having been a dj way back when I was in the USCG, I still have all my albums. I had to supplement my income considering how small the paychecks weregrin

I still have a turntable but no stereo to plug it into. If I could somehow connect it to my computer, I would record all of them onto cd's

Witchaywoman: Records are GROOVY, both literally and figuratively. I have some cool ones. Rolling Stones, Their Satanic Magesties Request is my coolest record. I have Woodstock, Hair, the Barbarella soundtrack, a few Beatles records, etc. What records do you have?

I don't collect records, but have a collections of over 15,000+ mp3's files! Singles, sets, and box sets! dancing cheers

I used to think records were awesome because they're from the coolest eras in music and a piece of history and have such great art. Now, I daydream of paring down my record collection and switching over to MP 3s. It would make sense as far as saving space, sound quality, keeping up with modern technology, and only having the best of a band without all their crappy songs. A good example would be Stevie Nicks who has one or two earth shattering songs and then a lot of repetitious fluff on her records. I would make a compilation of the good stuff and put different versions of Rhiannon over and over between songs. Actually, what would happen is that I would Ebay lots of records and then replace them with Beatles stuff, until my collection grew larger.

I love that. I have a box-o-tapes somewhere where they had a bunch of stuff in the background. You know what cracks me up? When they say Lennon used to periodically snap and beat te living daylights out of someone or get drunk and start snarling, etc. I thought he was the sweetest kindest man in the world. those interviews crushed me for a while. But, now, I have evolved and decided it's kind of hilarious. Mr "Give Peace a Chance there used to flatted people - mostly when he was a kid. Ooh! I should start a Beatle thread. I bet there are even more Beatlemaniacs than record collectors!
