On my walk this early morn I saw a huge bird perched on a old limb of a dead tree by the river bank.It was over 2 feet tall with old textured feathers,mastrous claws and a thick meanacing beak,it had its back towards me,so I was unsure if it was a owl or a old hawk.When I took a few steps off the path and went towards it,it acknowledged me with a slight turn of his head,nothing more and nothing less.I watched in amazment for a few minutes and moved on.When I turned around to take one last glance,it was gone.

A good omen ,I think.
A old spirit letting me know that all is well with me.....
