Only for the back door, Donegal wouldn't have had more than one game most years.
But for me, it has taken away from the provincial title, maybe not so much in Ulster, but definately in Munster and Leinster, and "Championship" always meant the romance and drama of the little guy beating the giant. Now, the underdog can pull off a killing, but then end up getting beaten by that same team later on in the competition.
It may give the smaller counties more games, but in my opinion, it favours the strong counties more
True, they do rely on Clarke, but if they can keep Coulter fit, they can use them together. I'm not a big fan of Benny Coulter, but when he's on song, he's unstoppable!!
Ok, the backs are not great, but their fitness and hunger will carry them a long way
I don't do statistics like you do, I go on what I see, and I like the look of that team
I think Billy Joe always showed signs of being a "very good" player, but he was so unpredictable. I think the constant references to his father didn't help either
Down were not a flash in the pan
I was surprised that they made the final last year, but to me, they are a team on the up and will be in contention for the next few years
I think it's a waste of time having London and New York included in the championship. They play one game, get beaten and don't even bother with the qualifiers. I think that says it all
Ulster is always hard to call, but I really thought Down would be too strong for Armagh. I didn't get to see it so I must watch the highlights tonight.
