Yes always cheaper per head to cook for a few people than for just self … on every level... ingredients, power source, effort... which is why even when on our own we cook for at least a couple of meals in one go and save for next meal …

If you buy all your fresh produce from farmers markets or grown your own there' not much other choice than to "cook your own meals" Although I'm discovering that some veg I wouldn't have dreamed of eating raw in the past is delicious raw in mixed salads like spiralised or grated courgette and baby spinach leaves …
Once you get used to preparing your own meals from scratch, processed foods/meals will never feel like "food" again. Too sweet, too salty, too overcooked, too mushy, too additives tasting, leaves an after taste in the mouth type of sensation …
Pretty much no processed, industrially made meal or dessert or cake is a better healthy alternative to home made food. No matter how many synthetic vitamins they add to it
But also here right now people who have pesticide free certificates have formed a special group to sell in special markets where only people who have obtained that pesticide free certification are allowed to sell...
Their farm has to be 5 years pesticide free before they can obtain certification and they are inspected … They are producers who have small holdings and none of their farms are industrialised …
I also have friends with avocado farms and olive groves and other produce who don't use pesticides ...
Small communities 400m above sea level in the mountains … way easier to stay away from supermarkets …
I'm not sure what you mean but I won't buy fruit and veg from supermarkets and will either grown my own or go to local famers markets … because I do like to keep away from pesticides …
A healthy lifestyle is not about protein shakes and drinking a few teas in my opinion...
It's about having a balanced diet preferably of non processed foods, preferably a good amount of fresh produce grown without pesticides and also regular exercise. And for emotional balance and well being spending some self reflection time every day may be in meditation or nature …
