The amazing thing is that these board members who did this honestly beleive that it's fair-play .........
ANY person who has clear reasoning knows that altering what children learn - for their own political aspirations - is VERY VERY CORRUPT ! It shouldn't be happening any country - especially USA ! But, clearly there are many in this country who will stand back in cowardly fashion and allow this sort of thing to happen.
There is a large faction of Christian and Conservative following still in this country which insists on controlling Americans and wealth. When unsuccessful in blaming the left for everything gone wrong - they turn to obviously extreem measures in attempt of regaining control. It's a pathetic disply of childish politics
I have flames shooting from my ears over this textbook scandal. I am writing to those who have made the poor decisions in Texas. It's truly an example of just how arrogant and selfish some bone-heads can be !
The far right have set an example of just how far they'll go to regain control of society and government. Yes, it is absurd that people in a position to enhance children's education would stoop so low as to actually change history lessons. It has come to this unfortunately..........
If conservatives are going to continue to pull dirty little tricks like this Texas textbook scam .......then you can be sure some of us will be prudent in hiring future employees with political clear thinking or purposely having them work under those who have better principles
It's perfectly clear to many of us that 8 years of Bush and Cheney caused the majority of the wreckage we're stepping through right now. It further enhances many of us to continually clarify our position that we're not going to let the ignorance and arrogance prevail
What's really sad are those who are so jaded by their upbringing that they will fight to the end to preserve status quo and repetative conservative principles that have failed over and over
You can't tell me that your eductational history lessons as a child where purposely swayed towards liberal ideals...can you ? Can you even remember back that far ?
You are obviously confused with the difference between dubed and creative. VERY recent History has already proven that conservative principles lead to greed and failure.
That's all fine ....except for the part of his suggestion of "divine intervention" with regards to American history. It's no different than the recent and obviously right winged Texas board injecting their conservative historical events and purposely deleting democratic events from history textbooks. Children are our future, and their right to see all the events , good, bad and indifferent - are of the highest importance in their personal development and learning. It is for this reason that NO outside influence by any educational, religious or political entities should ever have the option to manipulate history learning.
I truly respect the service that you may have given to this great country - but it doesn't suggest that your conservative principles are any more important than others who want change for the better....
