Juan...remember when you read Orwell's 'Animal Farm'? Did you really think that he was talking about a group of farm animals? Or did you see it as analogy to socialism and big brother gov't? Now a good instructor....might have said ....hey this not about
farm animals....and gave you a clue to look for something else in the read. Most of today's instructors ...well...they are still
trying to figure out socialism and democracy. So when they give
Animal Farm as a read....they are not sure if Orwell is really
talking about farm animals.
So the Texas Textbook Review committee comes to the rescue. Adds a little clarity to the process. And give these mis guided instructors a little direction to their textbooks. Chooses books that don't have the hard questions to be asked in them....like Animal Farm. Teacher jobs are made easier.....the student still learns.....and far left liberals are left
and Juan....any student that wants more enlightened...all they have to do....is check in here and read some CS blogs and threads.

I'm a teacher to teach the basic skills including reasoning. I'm not there to promote the agenda of the far left or the far right.
Some schools I would be expected to teach opinion. There are teachers I work with that would love to be able to push their beliefs as they honestly believe they are 100% right.
I'd rather work at McDonald's than be a part of that BS.

I've probably eat some of those micro combobulations you speak of has I crawled through the swamps evading the enemy. Or it might have been when they opened the door to my pow cell, took out the coffee can that acted has my toilet, and then returned a coffee can with broth, and a stale piece of bread. DO YA THINK THEY GAVE ME A CLEAN COFFEE CAN, OR REUSED THE ONE I GAVE THEM.

I truly respect the service that you may have given to this great country - but it doesn't suggest that your conservative principles are any more important than others who want change for the better....
