I am still glad we dont allow just anyone to own guns in this country....I work at Glasgow Airport and Im sure you all remember the dreadful attack on us last summer....since then our airport Police have been armed with submachine guns...at first it made my blood run cold to see this.....now I am used to seeing it......and I suppose it makes me feel safer.....a sad sign of the times ......

How right you are....we now have a knife culture here in Scotland...and they are used with equally devastating results.... Our First Minister Jack McConnell has now put plans in place to jail offenders for a maximum of four years just for being found to be in possession of one if stopped and searched by the Police.
