As the Mother of an almost 16 year old myself my first reaction was NOOO..
But on giving it some though I think we do have to loosen the reins sometime, he sounds like a great kid hun and perhaps allowing him to spread his wings like this will be a kinda reward for his good behaviour. Set out your rules, train obviously not car, you drop him and collect him from the station and make sure he knows the consequences if he lets you (or himself) down. I had a look at the website, teenagers can camp in the family area?? just a thought, he might kick up but at least they would be surrounded by families and not other gangs of teenagers.
Just be prepared for a weekend of no sleep for you if you do decide to let him go lol.
