Well, as nice as that sounds, somewhere with a little less tropical snow is what I had in mind. We have plenty of it here already.
If I won millions, I'd have a nice little spot in the sun somewhere, and all my CS friends could come and visit. I'd even pay for airfare for some of them. Be nice to actually meet some more of you in person.
If I had a dollar for every whiny post I've read on this site, I could afford to go see one of the ladies on CS, and show her how terrible I really am in person.
Here in Alberta I have a natural gas forced air furnace that blows warm air into every room through ducts. It's the most common type found in homes here, with a boiler and hot water being second.
In British Columbia I have the same at the moment, but will be putting in at least one catalytic wood burner, with a forced air furnace for back up. The garage space will be heated with a natural gas overhead unit heater. Natural gas is considerably more money in BC than it is in Alberta, and wood is plentiful.
We HAVE TO HAVE heat here, seeing as it dips down to -50 Celsius or colder at times, and is -35 to -40 quite regularly. Our homes are generally well insulated, and decent windows and doors are a must.
When hungry I've eaten choclate bars that sat in the glove box of my truck for well over a year. Who knows how many times they'd melted and solidified, not to mention frozen. I just forgot that they were there, but sure was glad when I found them.
RE: i am asking you out on a date
It is...trying to figure out if thr "ping" N referrred to was a #5 wood golf club, or something else, and if Andy was shot down completely. Not that it's any of my business, but it makes for interesting reading, moreso if you have a clue as to what's going on.
