giant schools of fish can act like a massive organism.
it's amazing; these individual fish, as far as we know, aren't engaging in conscious communication, and no one leader can be identified. and yet, each one participates in harmony with the others. sometimes they manage to dart away from the massive, hungry whale. sometimes the whole lot of them turn and swim straight into the killer whale's mouth.
that's us right now, and i don't think there's anything we can do about it.

BlainX: I can take a joke can you?
"Whenever I hear people talking about liberal ideas, I am always astounded that men should love to fool themselves with empty sounds. An idea should never be liberal; it must be vigorous, positive, and without loose ends so that it may fulfill its divine mission and be productive. The proper place for liberality is in the realm of the emotions"
Brilliant quote from one of the greatest minds the world has seen.
dezertfox4323: how do you view a boring, closed minded, ignorant republican?
Easy: Still smarter than ignorant libs that are allowing Arizina to be slowly over ran by Illegal Drug cartels. But since your in the soup, doubt that you mind. Of course wacky weed may be of your association... Just sayin`
tomcatwarne: Classical liberalism is a political ideology that developed in the nineteenth century in Western Europe, and the Americas. It was committed to the ideal of limited government and liberty of individuals including freedom of religion, speech, press, assembly, and free markets. It drew on the economics of Adam Smith, a psychological understanding of individual liberty, natural law and utilitarianism, and a belief in progress. Classical liberals established political parties that were called "liberal", although in the United States classical liberalism came to dominate both existing major political parties.
Although classical liberalism built on ideas that had already developed by the end of the eighteenth century, it advocated a specific kind of society, government and public policy required as a result of the Industrial Revolution and urbanization. Notable individuals who have contributed to classical liberalism include Jean-Baptiste Say, Thomas Malthus and David Ricardo There was a revival of interest in classical liberalism in the twentieth century led by Friedrich Hayek and Milton Friedman.
The term classical liberalism was applied in retrospect to distinguish earlier nineteenth-century liberalism from the newer social liberalism. The phrase classical liberalism is also sometimes used to refer to all forms of liberalism before the twentieth century, and some conservatives and libertarians use the term classical liberalism to describe their belief in the primacy of economic freedom and minimal government. It is not always clear which meaning is intended.
and don't forget the.. "give me".. and their "excuses", amd "reasons" for not "doing, having, accomplishing or being..
other then that.. I think a fine bunch of people.. Took my daughters to a "liberal" fundraiser and terrified the hell out of them by showing them what they'd wind up as should they fail to get educated, conform, and lead rather then follow.

Oh My sweet Ms Buffy327, If you wasn't such a liberal, and was willing to cast out your evil ways and become a good, decent, conservative.. well.. I'd be at your side and we both would rejoice as we assist Sarah and the Tea Party bringing this country to where it belongs..... But since you refuse to see the light.. I will allow you to make a donation to the GOP in my name.. After all, a good leader always "shows the way".. Oh.. and by the way.. would it be to much of an imposition to allow me to come live with you for a few months..?? I'm clean, decent, and a lot of fun.. well......... I am a lot of fun... ---SoldierByte---

Ambrose2007: You make a point that I've made numerous times myself. I find it detestable when people apply double standards to judge the same phenomena - for example, liberals throwing their hands in the air over Bush's many rights' violations while turning a blind eye to Obama doing the same thing (and vice versa).
Any intelligent, fair-minded person will judge *everyone* and *everything* by exactly the same standards. If it was unjust for Bush to do something, it's just as unjust for Obama to do it. Like the word "colorblind," there should also be "political party blind"; that is, one ought to judge every action as though one can't see the political label of the person doing the acting.
I'm an admirer of Ron Paul, though he has called himself a Republican and a Libertarian, because, for the most part, he acts in accord with my beliefs. I also have liked David Kucinich, though he's what people would call "very liberal," because many of his beliefs look good according to my standards (not all of them!).
I consider George Bush to be in the running for one of the US's worst presidents. I also consider Obama to have a shot at being one of the worst ever. That's "political party blindness" in action.

It's only a suggestion, but I would quit watching MSNBC. I notice that lefty libs really get bent out of shape when they spend to much time soaking up Mr. Ed, Mathews, Olbermann & Maddcow.

Very well said Ambrose
Thanks, bro'! But how did Wyoming get into Minnesota (two of my favorite states)?? Sounds like a place I'd like to visit!
