As I understand it, when I forgive someone else their actions I am letting go of either resentment(not getting my way sometime in the past) fear (not getting my way some time in the future) or anger (not getting my way right now). It's all about how I feel and I can't afford any one of those extreme emotions. I have learned to love unconditionally and that means no matter what you do I will always love you (just in some instances it isn't healthy for either one of us to be involved in each others lives). I have a sister that hasn't spoken to me for about 5 years and thinks poorly of me if she thinks of me at all...she is still my sister and always will be and I still love her.
In cases like BoomBoom's though, it must be maddening to deal with and my heart goes out to you. I wish you continued strength in recovery and hope all works out well with your granddaughter

If you let a particular thought to take up residence then you are tied to the past as it takes you out of the stream of cosmic consciousness which is in the here and now. JMHO
If it were a cartoon it would definitely be Jessica Rabbit but in the human world maybe anyone played by Lauren Bacall (she was sizzlin' hot)...guess there is a resemblanc between the two LOL.
