Why is it that we all end up doing that? Is it from past hurts? Are we trying to defend ourselves and not let anyone past our well built, well fortified defenses? Something that I will not be able to comprehend, alas I too try to defend that "wall" surrounding me. Anyone give some insight?
Sounds like he is, but i do understand where he is coming from. it is draining, meeting people, thinking that maybe you'll find this one or that one interesting, getting shot down or blown up, then another comes along and it's the same thing all over again. I made some changes, as you can see, I think it was something to protect the heart inside. Cheer up Paws, things will get better!! ;-)
Agreed Lydia, too many people look at the shell of the person they see. If they don't like the outside they see, then they figure there is no chance that they will be happy with that person. I myself have never looked at the outside, you would be surprised just how many people are just to die for on the inside but may not me the "movie star" on the outside, and the same goes the other way around! ;-)
Ahh debert, I love the way you think. It's true that there is so much more going on when we meet someone, and if there is no spark, we have alot of different things to consider. Question is what happens if we love the mind of the person and yet the physical connection is not quite what we "hoped" it would be? What is next? Forget and move on? How much value do you place on the physical side of things? For me i would still want to be with that person, afterall, the mind is what attracts me to them, physical side of things, is only bodily functions.

the more that you talk, the more people will find out what you're like...it's a great way to see what you thinkn of others. At least to me it is, like "paws" I'm a Gemini and we have the "gift of gab' as they say....it's also a great icebreaker! ;-)
hahahaa.....that's good way to put it....makes me wonder what is going on in this world...so much for the "global village" that people once dreamed about!
