I think there are tree protection laws in every province in Canada but there's no shortage of trees that are allowed to be cut down especially in areas away from major cities and conservation areas.
Anne, the poor orphan who spent most of her first 12 years being shoved around and abused throughout various orphanages and foster homes, instantly falls in love with Green Gables when she arrives in Avonlea. In both the books and the film adaptations, the house serves as a character in itself. The best film version is Kevin Sullivan’s 1985 mini-series starring the brilliant Megan Follows as Anne. Green Gables still exists, in fact, L.M.M. based Green Gables on the house she grew up in with her grandparents. Although the movie wasn’t filmed in the real Green Gables, you can visit L.M.M.’s Green Gables in Cavendish, Prince Edward Island.
Oh, I know that it is YMU as I've travelled through many US states over the years and have always found people to be very hospitable and accommodating. Yep, I've even visited Quebec and doubt I will again as my experience with the people there wasn't the greatest.
Hiya Life It is really beautiful and if things go my way, I hope to live there one day. Um yeah, not the greatest idea to go kayaking anywhere near the falls if they value their lives.
Of course you wouldn't notice their shoes if you're busy checking out their butts. Just teasing ya Galrads. Yep, purses the size of suitcases back in the day.
I think that's a pic from maybe the early 1950's? and it might be the intersection of Yonge and College Streets in downtown Toronto? Interesting as it was back in the day when the bank was named Canadian Bank of Commerce and now it's named Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. Look at the women's shoes....pretty much all the same style and colour. Ah, the good old days eh Galrads...thanks for sharing that.
