Seems to be a pissing match going on here regarding a very sensitive topic.....I agree with nanners; the choice of using the word "seek" is causing hostility here....taken quite literally although I believe Costa may not have consciously intended it to be taken as such. I worked with a women who was lured into one bad relationship after another. She did not seek it but rather, the type of men she met could see quite clearly that she was vulnerable and could be mistreated. Every abusive relationship she entered simply reinforced her condition. This woman came from a very physically and verbally abusive family so grew up to believe this was the norm. To this day, she is under constant psychiatric care for what is called "codependency". The unfortunate thing is, as long as there are people out there who think if you treat someone mean it will keep them keen, the cycle will continue.
Be very aware and even then, you're never sure...some are masters of the game and can play it like a finely tuned violin....I know first hand, the angels turning into demons and the demons actually being angels underneath the hard shell....the trick is getting through the shell
