composing music, building electronic music instruments, building a model train layout, taking pictures of trains, hanging out for a beer with friends, playing billiard, walk around lakes and mountains, thinking about nonsense things, cooking... I think I am missing many more, but these are the main ones anyways...
- Tony Levin (of King Crimson and Peter Gabriel fame) - Guillermo Cides - Bob Culbertson - Greg Howard - The Heartstrings duo - Ron Baggerman - Irene Orleansky - Virginia Splendore - Jan Laurenz - Emmett Chapman (the guy who invented and still builds the instrument)
Search for them on Youtube... Unluckily I am on a hurry and cannot post links... You will hear that every player has its own style and way of playing it, so for sure you will find one that suits your taste precisely :)
My favourites are Tony Levin, Guillermo Cides, Rob Martino and Jan Laurenz (who happens to be as well the guy that sold me my first Stick three years ago and lives near me :)
Nono I'm not disappeared... Just some busy times... Actually I removed the picture because I wanted to put up a better one, but I forgot.. and I am not at home right now, so that will have to wait :D
Moin, eh? a simple "moin", or a more elaborated "møjn"? Or even a double "moi moi"? :D I have to identify which zone of the northern lights you are from :D
Grüezi wohl fraulein Smoky ;) i just live my lifelong dream of living here :) not that i am that old, but i wanted to live near the swiss alps since i was 15 :) I sustain myself with a couple of activities, some creative, some rational, but for sure i'm not stockpiling money:) and yes, i do all the other activities that you mentioned :)
As for classical music, one could mention nearly everything that has been created, personally I have grown up learning the piano on Debussy and Mozart's Piano Concertos... but if I should mention something that still gives me a lot of emotions, it's the "Picture at an Exhibition" of Modest Mussorgsky, both the piano version (the best intepretation for me was actually the one played by my cousin, also a professionally trained pianist) and in the orchestral interpretation written by Maurice Ravel and performed by the Berliner Philharmoniker directed by Von Karajan...
So, anybody else in the forums from this corner of the world?
I don't really know what to say in this introductory thread, so I am just trying to fill up some lines with some grammatically-correct words in a correct context, but with totally useless content :D :D
RE: What music are you listening to on this fine night?
Currently listening to Carbon Based Lifeforms - Right where it ends.(some electronic ambient music from a swedish duo)
