Today on the drive home from work I was listening to a radio show broadcast wherein the speaker was talking about the things that rob us of happiness.
One comment that he made that really struck a chord within me, was that sometimes we focus too much on "listening to ourselves" instead of "talking to ourselves". Part of being in control of our inner self is taking charge and not letting our emotions/feelings take over. That made alot of sense to me, for I remember all too well those times when feelings of sadness and depression dominated my life previously.
Once driving down a local street, these guys were wailing away on someone ... I stopped the car and yelled at them, but there was no way I was getting close as I had my young daughter in the car. There is no way I could have done much against 3 of them.
Have you ever bought your dream car and what was it?
Heck no, I don't think that way. I actually rarely date, so its probably something that I should do more. I think we have the capacity to love, and although it can differ between relationships, I think that we are able to establish love connections with more than one possible person.
I am not too heartbroken .... its actually kinda funny because I totally realize how easily one at get off track. We'd all fail if this really was a test!!
