I personally would love to have someone in my life I could have decent intelectual conversations with. Stupid petty small talk gets old after a while. I like someone who can read a novel and then discuss it.
SO, here is my 2 cents, what is so wrong with wanting to think and hope for peace in Lybia? Why not hope for peace in other countries? Is it really that wrong to hope and wish? Let's think outside the box a minute.
Are we not supposed to view all aspects and not just one? Afganistan is related to many countries wether you want to believe it or not. I'm not coming to Paldis' defence but, he does have a valid point for once. OMG did I just say that?
Excuse me? This is MY thread for one! Second If you post it in the forum it is free for anyone to respond to! What in the hell has gotten into you latly? You are just attacking people left and right for no reason!
Yea, actually Leigh and I went over that, not sure if it was this thread or another. We both agreed that it was kind of like a half and half so to speak. The religious ones are the ones who would get the control back of Afganistan. However, the Taliban that decided to become soldiers of war might try to fight them and gain the control back which would not be a good thing as we all know.
Actually Pat I'm the one who brought that thought up due to interview in the link I posted. It was apart of my Thoughts. No one is saying it is going to happen, it is just hypothetical.
From reading your link and Paldis' You both have valid opinions and views. One is no better then the others. You want him to see your side and he wants you to see his. It's only a matter of looking at the big picture. There are good people and bad people. It's just a metter of deciding wether to label these sides.
People are always puting labels on everything no matter what it is. Taliba, Al Quida, Gaza...They are all humans and all have different views. It's those whose views that harm people that are the problem in this world.
So The Taliban who are of the Religious in nature are the ones who would get control of the country. However! There is still a chance the fighters will try to gain control from them.
Yours is not much different then mine. The Taliban started off as a religious band. Some still are. Those who chose to fight are the ones who were feared.
If you research it the Taliban...not all of them are associated with al quida. That is why the US is thinking about giving control of Afganistan back to the Taliban.
