say something that might inspire

just popped in to see what news from the "say something to inspire thread" ... thanks all for wonderful words... decision making is always tricky for me - I wonder why? reading "Eat Prayer love" at the moment - maybe it's time to travel to india and find a guru... here's a few quotes i found which I thought I'd share

"You can't do anything about the length of your life, but you can do something about its width and depth."
- Shira Tehrani

To catch lots of fish, you must first go to the water

Life is a great big canvas, and you should throw all the paint you can on it.

say something that might inspire

Having a moment of indecision so thought I'd see what words of inspiration anyone had that might help me and maybe others...

just as a starting point: here's a little something from me....

"Live life to the edges with passion and compassion..."

RE: Where to go to meet?

yay

RE: Is it reasonable to ask or expect a partner to change?

It's important to take things lightly - intense and dramatic changes are probably not so good - demands/expectations/inter-dependance all that stuff is definitely not right - but learning, shifting a little, widening ones horizons - well that's all good stuff... each to their own I guess just so long as we are true to ourselves.

RE: Is it reasonable to ask or expect a partner to change?

probably not - just means you don't like what they're wearing!!

RE: Am I Seeking The Proverbial Unicorn??

Does he have to be a christian Godly man - or could he just be a really lovely person... would widen the search a little?

(aside : Hi crazyblondeone)

you seem lovely so I am absolutely sure you will find someone.wave

RE: Money cant buy you love!...But if you got the winning ticket....What would you do?...

fab idea - not sure you need a winning ticket to teach the world to sing.... maybe buying everyone a coke would be a little more expensive!applause

RE: Money cant buy you love!...But if you got the winning ticket....What would you do?...

I'd buy a new car for a friend of mine and maybe some really sharp sunglasses... oh and the house round the corner from me and open it up as a retreat to anyone who needed space/time/friends or indeed chocolate brownies (I cook a mean chocolate brownie!)... cheering

RE: mail or flower?

no really - the virtual postman is straining under the weight of the mail/teddy bears/sunflowers/cups of coffee and heart shaped cakes. rolling on the floor laughing rolling on the floor laughing

RE: mail or flower?

I sometimes send a good luck shamrock every now and again to people who just seem nice - just to wish them luck ... personally I like to receive flowers and e-mails (don't all rush at once guys!!)

RE: So... How Can You Tell If A Man Is Being "For Real" ??

RE: So... How Can You Tell If A Man Is Being "For Real" ??

I am new here and a little wary myself... but do feel that there are some lovely genuine people on this site... non consistency is difficult and it sounds like you are feeling a little heartache/stress/confusion - which is definitely not good...

I wonder if you have shared your concerns with him? Best do that maybe and see what happens...

I have had similar experiences in my first 2 weeks here but am taking it all in a light hearted way.

good luck hug

RE: I have been rescued from this lonely life!!!

I so love happy stories ... sounds like you are a super lovely person - and that you've found a super lovely man... I don't know many people here but wouldn't it be nice if we could all post a similar story about ourselves one day - cheering cheering

“If you really want something all the universe will help you achieve it” (this is probably illegal because I'm quoting someone but no idea who!)..
