I have no kids myself , essentially I'd like to meet a lady for companionship just herself and I but torn 50/50 , I ask myself am I being selfish as undoubtedly there are some really nice girls with children from a past relationship . I'd like to think my heart's in the right place if faced with that choice .
I was reading an article in last weeks MAIL ON SUNDAY about a 14yr old boy from North Co Dublin who is coming up through the 'ranks' of a 'sport' which seems to be a cross between martial arts , street fighting and boxing . His mother is in support of her son's lifestyle much against the opinions of doctors , saying it keeps him off the streets and out of trouble and he is is to travel to England to fight his next opponent because apparently no other Irish opponent of his age/rank would fight him .
What sort of parent allows their children become involved in this kind of activity thinly veiled as sport ? As this kid grows up , how likely would you say he is to miss-use his fighting skills ?
