I did not know that FIFA had done an about turn when i posted this thread ............ but what has ran through my mind since is, with all the money that soccer turns over in England.......... i am sure they could afford a set of jerseys with the poppy emblem embrodired on them and wear them for the match! It would have saved all the hassle............. if it was Germany they were meeting in the friendly it might have been a different story....... FIFA should have said "No" ......... IMO
Making plans to meet a person and then ignoring them is not PT IMO., K .... it is bad manners....... !
I chat to lots of people on here (male and female) and it has often been said to me, "we should meet up for a coffee" .............. 99% of the time it never comes to pass for one reason or another In this instance i do not feel i am being rejected......... but if i was attracted to the person in question, i know i would feel rejected and hurt .......
So, in answer to my own question i do not take rejection good....... but it has never stopped me from trying again and it never will. The hard lesson i have learned from rejection is, not to try again until you yourself are ready for the challange This may take a week for some and a year for others.... only you will know the answer to that !
I do not think so ......... what prompted me to put this thread up was an article i read to day in a magazine about people who have been rejected and how it changed their lives............. some got stronger and ploughed in again while others carried the scar and the fear of being rejected again, so much so that it held them back from trying again .........
How do you deal with it ? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Everyone, at some point in their life gets rejected, be it in love, a job, life in general, etc., so how do you deal with yours do you brush it off or does past rejections play a big role in the way you live today, do you have a problem letting your guard down and running the risk of being rejected again?
I read this !~~~~~~~ I posted it on the Irish Forum and i thought i would share it with all the CS ladies. ~~~~~~~
A little boy asked his mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I'm a woman," she ...told him. "I don't understand," he said. His Mom just hugged him and said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?"
"All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say.
The little boy grew up and became a man, still wondering why women cry.
Finally he put in a call to God. When God got on the phone, he asked, "God, why do women cry so easily?"
God said, "When I made the woman she had to be special.
I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world,
yet gentle enough to give comfort.
I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.
I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.
I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.
I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.
And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. This is hers exclusively to use whenever it is needed."
"You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair.
The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

" What seems to grow fairer to me as life goes by is the love and the grace and tenderness of it; not its wit and cleverness and grandeur of knowledge ? grand as knowledge is ? but just the laughter of children, and the friendship of friends, and the cozy talk by the fire, and sight of flowers, and the sound of music."
Thank God Uknow can`t reply to this thread Annie or you would be in for some slagging ......................... you know how he loves the auld backdoor lark

If money was no object...... and you were in a position to pack up and move, where would you live and what would your reason be for choosing this place?
For Uknow ......... because Dewey and Louie are missing you and so are we on the forums .............. i have no one to give out to now that you are gone
From what i know of men FF at my age............. that man comes across as one of the better ones in my opinion ...... i would read from the post that he is more cheesed off with the fact that she can do something about her weight but she could not be bothered ....but still moans about it!
The kind of love you want FF IMO comes with time, but time takes the flush of lust with it as the years pass ............. what the eye finds attractive is lust, what the heart finds is love ....
The government makes it that way Although the world is divided into 24 one-hour time zone "naturally" by the rotation of the earth, there is nothing that says that a particular location _must_ set its local clocks according to which 24 one-hour section it is in. The government (usually nationally but sometimes by state or county) makes a law which says which time zone they will be in. And in some places, especially countries that half about half their land in one 24 one-hour section and half in the other (which I believe is the case with India), the government just decides to split the difference, because it lets the all clocks in the entire country be exactly the same.
