I would think some pats of Asia, India, Etc, Australia is out of the equation,people there work 70hrs + a wk just to pay there mortgage, food & a bed is the subject:
Well this never got of the ground....many of my musician friend, & like people such as Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan, & many more see them selves as minimalistic in writing & music, but no-one goes there on this site, Is this a sign showing us where people come from, inside there head, is this showing a grab-all approach to life

I sometimes meet people 40+ traveling, could be UK 0r Asia US or Europe,conversation often comes around to travel web-site like Couch-surfing,Lonely planet, there's plenty of sites & contacts for people in there 20's, But there are heaps of 40+ travelers with a back-pack, some musicians, some into there 60's,
Are there any travel sites for 40+ that u no of ? not interested in up-market hotel stuff, this is back-pack, hiking, cheap living & hostels.......
For some that don't have anything else, & are going down hill faster than they can mature, its not about living with some older guy u don't love, for some girls with a child or two, its the only option, there first thought should be for there children, & there's an awful lot of suffering for her & the kids just to hope & keep looking, If a person has never done it hard, in there 20's, no job,no hope,people get to a point & see nothing, no way out,if u never been there, u can-not understand,for some, suicide is there only option. there are heaps of men out there, willing to take on a couple of kids, what its about is, the woman can make a home & for some guys in there 30-40s, Home is a very nice word.
Its not difficult the go through life with a person that is not one's best choice, & maybe they don't push those BIG buttons, but if one's children are getting a good start in life, one day mum can be very proud she done her best for them.
As I see it, unless one change the norm, life is just the same road, one can do all the thinking & good will within there circumstance & surroundings,but unless one changes that one ingredient that is the problem, nothing will change,
If u'r an executive of a high flying company, & things go down hill to the direction of bankruptcy, with hundreds of people being layed-off, the executive is expected to do something, not carry-on as the norm, It is correct that (old fashioned ways)may become part of her life, & she may need to change her daily thinking habits,learn to cook very well, & find-out the best way to dress, but, yes, an older man with an education & been in his job for a wile, who know's the possibility's, better schools for her children, a quiet private life, the she don't need to worry about her children's future, she had the children, now, its about them, she is just the driver,

You left-out trad folk/oldtimey,this is not Western music, but a mix of trad Irish & African blended together in & around the Appalachian mountains, USA,this,& Trad Irish are my music...
Nice to see a person, that may-not be Irish, that values the moment, we got maybe 70-80 good years on this earth, coming to terms, & acutely seeing what & where you come from, grass is greener for many on the other side of the world,But one day one realizes what being Irish means, its like roots come out your shoes into the ground,& u suck-up being Irish, its in your bones, blood & body tissue, its what makes an Irish person, Irish,feel free to look the world over, but keep money for the return trip.....
Hi, & good-luck with the project, males that find them self in this situation act in different ways, probably don't need to explain where they go to inside there heads, I think your idea is sound, & very good idea, there will be some that will come along, just to leave at different times, maybe others will join, Cost of international travel is expensive,getting males with-out mortgages, child commitments, will be an issue, leading, & where the group is going should be layed-out before u set-off, working on the way, camping, first-aid, in the bush survival will be of a help,places like northern Canada,& many places in Europe with similar climate need some leadership in survival to make things run smoothly, if the filming is done to a high standard, a sponcer may be good to cover air-fares, good luck !!!
Minimalism, What make a person become a minimalist,In my case, it was the have's & the people that not only had nothing, but will never have the ability to have even the safety of knowing where the next meal is coming from, I don't help people, I don't give to charity's,but with-out thinking,most of my life I have been a minimalist,

I went through my mind of wealthy people I know, & there life & fitness,many are very much over weight, but in my friends case, It was simply very bad family values, installed by her father, For people to have family's, there responsibility is also to lead by example,one must ask, am I fit enough to have children.
A female friend was a model at 20yrs, exercise every day, into fitness, walking every day, her family had one view, to make money, all the children slowly got married, one boy ended-up a drug dealer, & junky, but all the others followed the fathers mind-set, Money is very important,make money at any cost.....
as time went-on all the children (3 Females )put on weight, my friend was a smoker, & a bit neurotic,she got divorced & came out of it with large amount of money, but she needed more, not looking like a model, she is in her late 30's & well over weight & smoking as usual,
today she is 50yrs old, has plenty of money, owns large property's, & a good income, she is fat, thinks mostly of how much she owns, & how well she has done, brags about how much this & that cost,& at 50, she looks a pathetic mess,
Two days ago she clasped at home scaring the life out-of her daughter, ambulance called & she is now in hospital,a full blown heart attack at 50, she was put-on tablets & warned by here doctor 3yrs ago, she was told where she is heading & did nothing, now she says she needs to give-up smoking.....well, we will see...
going after only money has an affect on people, the affect goes straight to the heart of one's self respect for family & life it-self, I once had to choose, & I walked away from the money, & have never regretted it.
