Now thats just MAD - sure there are lots of girls friends with guys hoping that something will happen ! Thankfully we good lads are generally very self controlled and never give into those Mad women !
Well the only one I know on here says shes a crabby woman and all seem to be fairly though skinned - or at least the ones I know - and Galway girls are some of the toughest - they have broken many hearts - so you are the first softie - on here !
Well what you think of this thread - not much good - what was the author thinking????
Its all down to individual feelings. Some share "black humour" and have a laugh, some cry inconsolably, some just sit and stare as they try to come to terms with life or the loss.
All those that "recover" or "deal" with trauma do so at the time it occurs and leave it there. Thats not to say they forget, quite the contrary.
Those that don't deal with it as it occurs "reinforce" the feeling of loss by recounting it, reliving it, exaggerating it each time as it becomes further engraved on their minds and thereby weakens them to the point they can no longer cope. Nothing to be ashamed of as it can happen to anyone. Just hope our friends can help and more so - that we let them do so.
Talking at the time helps, talking endlessly for ever after is not a useful thing.
