RE: Winning the Lotto.....

I just read this post and thought I would check my Australian lotto results on line.
Wow. I won about €30 but it is not enought to pay for a crew to help me get to Saverne next weekend.
Still it makes my day.

Where has the adventure spirit gone from English women?

For Rockchick,,
Someone who wants a chick to travel with him cos he HAS to and to foot half the costs ... ohhhh after them forking out to get to him in the first place ...

Not quite right but I guess some of you read to fast and read things that are not there.
What were you expecting the cost to be. I can see why you never go away from your back yard for a holiday. The trains and planes must be for others.
Diesel. Maybe €20 a day but depending on how many showers a day you want. Something has to heat the water.

Where has the adventure spirit gone from English women?

Well I have seen your posts, good and bad.
Yes I respect the fact that ladies need to be careful and that is why I made the offer to ladies (plural) couples and yes a man would be OK.
It is not that they would be trapped on a canal barge.
When any people join up for a normal car holiday the fuel is usually shared. What is different about a barge.
I am not offering a free cabin for the homeless. I am offering a barge holiday and for those ladies that think the worst of barge owners the you are welcome to your oppinion.
Would you open up your home for strangers. I bet not, so don't criticise me for something you wouldn't do. I only want ladies or men or both with some adventure in them. I have come 10,000 miles for it.

RE: Vacation time....Where are you going or gone for your holidays????

I am on the canals of France. Why not join me

Search Face book for my barge FIDUTIA

Where has the adventure spirit gone from English women?

I am an Australian living on my canal barge in France fulfilling my dream.
Because of the size of my barge by law I have to have two people on board.
Do you think I can find a suitable lady. No. Although I do ask them to share the diesel cost, it is not much compared to the holiday they get.
Have a look at my videos on Face book. Search Fidutia.
If you know someone suitable the please TELL THEM.

RE: How many languages do you speak?

cristina, Thanks so much for the tip. I have joined and there are so many people near me

RE: Hi..I know I'm not exactly new but i am to EU Forums. :D

Smoky, You know where I live.
You bring the goodies (and your man) and I will have the coffee ready.
What does one have to do to get someone to come and talk?

RE: Have you made a any progress in your love life on this forum. I did.

I too was thinking of increasing my earnings. But after what Smoky said, I am now pennyless, but I have a great barge for hire.
If they don't want you for what you have then you are better off on your own.
Mutual affection is the answer.

RE: How many languages do you speak?

People in Strasbourg.
I spend most days listening to French lessons but it seems to go in one ear and out the other.
I wish a French/English speaking person would give me some time over a coffee on my barge to help me get along further.
When I go out in Strasbourg I hear all the lovely conversations (well I think they sound lovely) but I have to keep my ears pricked for an English conversation if I want to talk to anyone.

Would you like a barge holiday in France on Fidutia

I have a 24 metre canal barge and I am available if someone wants to come and share a cruise. Apart from food the main cost is diesel.
Pictures are or seach Fidutia on Face Book.

At present I am in Strasbourg.

Barge lady needed for France

My reasons for sharing costs.
You would be surprised how many ladies think that I am going to be a permanent meal ticket when they ask to come with me. From all over the world.
Once again there was no need for your sarcastic remark regarding sugar mamma. It shows that you go off half cocked just to get your name in lights withour getting all the facts correct.
No, Please dont apply as I only had, and shall have 'Nice ladies' not someone who cant wait to put someone else down.

Where did I read on this site that those with no photo are most probably scammers from Ghana.
My profile, and thank you for reading it, is to put off people from Ghana and other similar countries who are trying to scam.
I have been cruising for two years and each time I have a lady to help and none of them have any regrets. Why should they when they are wined and dined.
I will say again, the French law requires two people on a barge this size when it is moving, and the free joy rides for the helping ladies are part and parcel of the offer. No one is forcing any one to come. The opportunity is for those that want some adventure.

Barge lady needed for France

Wow, You ladies are hot under the collar today. I certainly am not cranky. How could you be in France, on a canal in the sunshine. I wasn't the one with a nasty attitude. It was Venusenvy that said I was a drunk. There was no need for her to say that except to be nasty.
What gives you the idea I want money. If I didn't have any I wouldn't have the barge.Strasbourg is a beatiful place but I will want to move on next month.
But anyway thanks for your postings. The ladies who have contacted me don't share your views.
Below is one lady'e oppinion.

Hello R,
That's Bryan telling me that I can tell you about who he is.
You see he is a real captain and likes to give orders.
And that is how it should be on a boat if eveything has to work save.
But on his barge he is not all the time travelling, there is also time to stay at nice places, often in the centre of a town.

I have spent many times on his barge also alone and also with other friends and my children.
Because I am living in the north of Holland and can't spent all my time on holiday I am not able to go with him all the time.

What I said about him being the captain was a bit a joke, only a few rules ; looking at the video about ropes, excersise throwing ropes so you know what to do,no smoking on the barge, no drinking while travelling. If you can live with those "rules"you will be guaranteed of a nice trip with nice companion.

If I have to tell who is Bryan Griffin my answer is:
A friendly charming man who made the choice to do something with his life and possibilities.
Making his dream come true which is travelling with an old barge through France.
He is a good cook and I am missing his dinners and breakfasts.
If you like bordgames you can really make him happy.

If you want to know some more don't hesitate and ask me.
And if I have the possibility to see him this summer maybe we will see each other to.

Cheers, I

Hi Venusenvy, Maybe it you that are drunk. You don't get drunk on the real French wine, your senses liven up.
Obviously you have no idea what barging entails. A large one like mine by law has to have two people on board and that is the reason for my posting.
But you are partly right, but your ignorance wouldn't let you realise that my barge is 110 years old ( an age you wont make) and yes when she was young she needed to be towed by a horse. You would have done well at that. Now she has a lovely powerful engine so I guess I wont be needing your horse power.
Cheers

I am old but I am fulfilling my dream of traveling the French canals in my 24 metre barge Fidutia.
I am stuck in Strasbourg with no one to help me move on.
