this is what I'm talking about. They say and do the most amazing things. I'd have to write down my full name, (which I had to count on my fingers to come up with) 24 letters. If you asked me to spell it backwards, I'd have to cheat.
My oldest daughter was about 5 when her 3 brothers were running around, being boys. She looks at me and says "mommy, those boys are obnoxious and I guess they have nothing better to do. Ground them mom.". I laughed so hard I almost peed my pants.
I love this thread because I've read so many profiles that state the same. A good friend of mine said "we all have baggage, it's just knowing how to pack".
He is a Psychologist and he is right. I watch out for those profiles that express they have "cleaned out their suitcases". I've said it before. They have them hidden in the closet.
My 3 year old has known how to count to 20 in English and Spanish since she was 2, and at the same age, memorized the alphabet, but she still hasn't been able to remember her colors.
I asked her to put a cup of water in the sink. She looked inside the cup, looked at me with those beautiful wide brown eyes and said "Mom. Is this disgusting"? I had to laugh. She doesn't remember her colors, but her vocabular is amazing!
The vocabulary of an innocent child.......
And you've been doing it ever since, huh girl?
That's why we love you.
