Born and raised in Colorado on this end....the western slope in a small town called Hayden.
Raced dirt for 6 years - nuked both knees and gave it up....a few AMA races later on, but could'nt afford to keep up with it...now just play for fun on the street....
Had to explain, once again, to my son - the reality that we live in a world where evil can act on the innocent. And I had to once again, choke back the tears (of both fear and pride?) when he said that had he been there, he would would have acted out to protect - at the cost of his own life. How in the hell do I answer to that statement of his? All I could do was hold him, and tell him "I know".
RE: What is your favorite smell memory from your childhood or when you were growing up?
Grew up in a small town on the Western slope - where everyone burned coal for heat in the winter....that is the first smell I can remember.
