Thank you everyone for your reply.... I do view this as a learning experience. I do not regret anything, I would rather know than wonder. Thanks again with helping me surpase this learning curve. I am young and have much to learn,
Yeah at least you are still friends, There is someone out there for everyone, life is not a fairy tale. Circumstances will never be perfect. Hopefully we are all lucky enough to feel content
Someone I can love who loves me equally. A life partner. My problem.... I will not settle for just anyone. Maybe I am to picky but I settled for 8 yrs and was miserable. I figuere If I am patient, he will come.
How old was this guy, 20? Playing a computer game all day?
btw I've heard of this thing happening so many times it's unreal. Don't wait long to meet thinking you're building a foundation of trust, familiarity, knowledge etc because what you will only be building is a false image that will be shattered when you meet. It's really unfortunate because not only will you lose the passion that you created but you will also be losing this person you created in your mind.[/quote ] He was my age. A lot of men my age are into video games unfortunately. That habit left me when I hit my teens
Well the first night was fine, great. Then the next day he played a dumb game on the computer all day except to take me out to eat. I need attention. A little pat on the leg doesnt do it for me.
Understandable, but I had no idea that you could get along with someone so well on the phone but not in person. I would have imagined it would have been apparent after a few conversations. Now I know. I dont regret it one bit. It was the craziest thing I have ever done.
So met this guy a couple of months ago on this site actually. We talked by phone, and IM for a couple of months. Sent pics back and forth, webcammed and all that good stuff. We seemed to really hit it off. All our free moments were spent talking to eachother in one way or another. So I decided to go to visit him..... It was very dissapointing. All the chemistry we had was gone. This was my first time meeting someone who I had to get on a plane for. What the hell happened?
For those of you who have actually met someone that you met on the internet....
