I play the violin since i was 5 music is like a second nature to me i play the guitar as well 
One thing that must be understood is that some times god answers your prayers by not doing anything ! and then other times he answers them 10 fold i'ev seen this in my own life and what a blessing it is to know that there is a God and he loves me
