I think conflicting views on anything can ruin a relationship, not just politics. It's about how we deal w/ differences of other people that ultimately determine how we interact with them.
Not a matter of addiction for me. I just like to smoke. I don't do it to be cool or one of the gang, it's just like drinking a coca cola to me. Not to mention, it's good for tension relief.
Was talking with someone the other week, about how this exact sort of thing. Amazing how when you get a bunch of adults together, how much they regress back to a highschool mentality as far as feeling the need to gossip or put other people down to make themselves feel superior.
I don't know the exact situation you are regarding, but it seems to be a repeating process here on the forums. All ya can do is hold your head high knowing the type of person you are and move on to the next day. No sense letting a few words typed get to you, especially when you know your own true charecter.
What you do to make the trolls target you as of late? I've only see you be nice as can be in most of your posts. But I've noticed (in the last 72hrs in particular) that you've been a troll magnet.
In all seriousness however, I would say whichever can give you a happier life. Worry not about what those around you do to make them happy, but worry more about what man can touch your heart in a way no other ever could.
Depends on the individual & the situation. Sometimes it takes a gentle touch and sympathy, other times it takes something else. Each person reacts uniquely to any given situation.
Agree'd as far as it being a Western Society problem. To me the problem is, everyone wants their personal me, myself & I problem solved, instead of looking at the big picture of what problems need to be solved on a society level. Until we stop worrying about ourselves , and start working as a team with the guy next door who has the same problem, it'll always be business as usual.
RE: FEELINGS!
Frustrated over a few things, even though there isn't anything I can do about them, still doesn't make them any less frustrating.
