really rosie is my fave...wanna tell you a story, 'bout a woman I know, when it comes to lovin', she steals the show, she aint exactly pretty, aint exactly small .....AC/DC with Bon Scott..........yeah.......
You raise a good point, but in all honesty, we are spoon fed whatever it is the government wants us to be fed, until someone comes out and exposes the truth.
I really admire his courage, and the one guys courage who was with the VA, who is an activist for the troops, to come out and say, "What's wrong with this picture?"
The deaths are terribly sad, so sad, yet the injuries of a lot of the wounded are lifelong. The media concentrates on the death toll, and noone ever thinks about the wounded--I mean really thinks about them. We are taken away from that, well, until now. I am so glad that he is exposing as much of this as he possibly can.
Yes, we do support our troops, the government needs to get their heads out of their butts and step up to their responsibilities for our troops.
Has anyone seen the report Bob Woodruff did last week?
He is a jounalist for ABC, was in Iran and was injured due to a roadside bomb 1/06. He suffered many injuries, but the hardest one to overcome was his tbi (traumatic brain injury).
His report had to due with the numbers of our troops getting injured over there. They always report the deaths, but never just the injuries. Bob said that this war was like none other we have seen, just due to the tbi's. They come from something as simple as a high powered blast, and can go undetected for a very long time.
Bob met with some injured soldiers, and monitored their progress. It was a very eye-opening report. The government says that there is about 75,000 injured soldiers, but the reports from the VA add up to over 200,000!
The worst part about the tbi injuries, is when a soldier lives in a rural area, and cannot get the care and therapy he needs. He just regresses.
Bob was remarkable all the way around. Well worth watching and very informational. He is supposed to do more, and I am looking forward to them.
Mindless posting gets our mind off of the real world, so it does serve a purpose, but for you, I will start an intelligent thread, or at least attempt to.......
