I'm not sure about the Sens (not trying to start trouble here). Honestly, they could have made a great cup run last year if Hasek didn't get injured in the olympics. The Sens have had a history of not showing up in the playoffs no matter how well they do in the regular season. I'm not sure about Emery in goal. He is a better fighter than a goalie imo.
I really can't believe Carolina won the cup last year. They have some talent, but if the Sabres or Oilers didn't lose key players against Carolina, they wouldn't have won the cup. The Sabres lost many defensemen to injury, I believe Miller also missed some time as well. And the Oilers lost the guy that got them that far (Roloson).
Truthfully, the Wings and Preds have a chance, but their records are misleading as they played Columbus, Chicago and St. Louis 8 times each. I wish that the scheduling wasn't this way, so the Sabres could play some more of the west teams more often.
I honestly believe either the Wings, Sabres, Devils, Sharks or Ducks will win it. But its difficult to predict a winner in this league though because the playoffs are different, and teams step up.
Life is pretty good for the Sabres right now. I've been a fan since 98, when I really started following hockey. The team has been playing great this season, and the farm team ain't bad either. They have a good chance to win the cup this year, especially when the guys get healthy again (although the callups have played pretty well). My only concern is Ty Conklin, just because it was nice to have a guy like Biron on the team as a safety policy (plus he is a strong person to have chemistry-wise).
I would be surprised if any team besides the following win the cup this year:

Just thought I'd introduce myself. My name is Eric, and I'm an advertising student graduating this summer. My end goal is to work as some kind of music promoter because I love music. My favorite artists of the moment are Lil' Wayne, Pink Floyd, Bob Marley, Tool and HIM.
I'm also a huge sports fan. Being from Wisconsin, I gotta love the Packers, Badgers and Brewers. I also like the Indians, Sabres (despite their success and bandwagon fans, I've been a fan since the Hasek days), and Timberwolves.
Politically, I mostly side with the Democrats in a lot of issues. I strongly dislike the Bush administration and have been opposed to the war since Bush pushed for military action in Iraq.
