i aggree, but...ive served t 2 tors of iraq. each 8 months, and 1 in afghanistan for 9 months, as the same for my 2 brothers who are in the forces, these are quotes from papers, news, they tell what they want you to here, ok, most is true, but untill you are actually there, and see that what we are doing is making a differance, in both countrys, its not really anyones place to pass comment, yeah..everyone has there opinions, it is sad that there is people getting killed every day, ive lost alot of friends in both places, but the knew what they were doing, the job, risks, and when they were in the streets if iraq, afghanistan, and to see the faces of the people, happy because you were there, it made it worth while being there because you were making a differance, maybe not to all of them, but to most, i knew when i was there, if i could make a differance to atleast one person, or family, i was happy, so please dont beleive everything you here or read, and this is from a serving member of the armed forces (and proud),

thank you very much, its not an easy job but its one i wanted to do, ok maybe not the 6 month tours of iraq and afghanistan, but thats what i signed up for, i just go out there and do my job like hundreds of thousounds of other troops, its always good to know theres people out there thinking of us, thank you.x
well i feel better now, just a bit of a storm going on for the last 2 days, not very nice!!ha, well we left portsmouth, england on sunday at 9pm, and we get into NY 1200pm tuesday 3rd, and leave again on 9th, then we get into charlestown on 11th there for 3 days, then doing an exercise with US forces, then go to norfolk,virginia for 10 days, then back home to sunny edinburgh for 2 weeks, then back to iraq for 6 months, the joys of being in the millitary!ha ha
yeah, its ok now!!ha, you think me being in the navy, i shouldnt get sea sick...i dont, its just the weather in the atlantic just now, its not nice!!!!!
thanks very much for your kind words, thats why were heading for NY, after 9/11 my ship, HMS ILLUSTRIOUS, the one in the picture, we were the first british warship to deploy to afghanistan, we were there for 8 months, but it was for a good cause, so we have been invited over to NY for 4th july, so we are there for a week, then heading to virginia for a couple of days.
well dude..... we do have satelites on these warships, we get net 24 hrs a day, werever we are in the world!!! its great, and just for info, we 20 miles south of were the titanic sunk!!!weird!

well, i just met, the most amazing girl a couple of weeks ago, and guess were i am now... half way across the f*****g atlantic ocean, heading for the states to do a big exercise!!! gutted!!
im for sure not a government puppet, im in the navy...not the army, so we dont have tanks,and i have been all over the world, enjoying myself, so i have lived it pretty good, so if i die tommorow, then be it, thats not selfish, you could get hit by a bus, have a heart attack...anything, you could die anytime, fairplay you enjoy your life, i enjoy mine, just cause im in the NAVY it doesnt say that im not having a good, enjoyible life
its nothing to do with taxes, we all have to pay them, ok there a bit high, i agree. its to do with pride, and what you believe in, the uniform you have on, the people your doing it for,
as a little kid... i cant remember, but...i know im well happy with what im doing..so, maybe this is what i wanted to do??...hopefully,..i thinkso??lol
