Unfortunately I did...and it ended very badly. Like many of you here I never realised he had bipolar until a couple of years down the line. We were together for 3.5 years...he had a drink problem and it was a very abusive relationship. When he drunk every night he was lovely and when he was sober he was the opposite. I visited a psychotherapist during that time and he told me from everything I described that my ex had bipolar. It is very sad to see the ones you love go downhill and not admit that they have a problem. If I had to go through it all again knowing what I do now, I probably wouldn't!
