I usec to be an extreme introvert, especially when I moved to Ireland. I would sit and look, taking everything in. People, thought I was weird and would comment about it in front of me thinking I couldn't understand. What they didn't know is that I learned to read lips. Now, as the years passed by, I'm more extrovert, but still like my space.
