The town I live in is refered to as middle America because its centered almost in the middle of the U.S. Salina is a town which is famous for cows,corn fields and college kids and not much else.The place is bordered by corn fields as far as the eye can see.Crime is low and people are really friendly.Last time I checked there were three bars or so and one strip joint none of which are really super busy.Sunday morning is my favorite time because there are tumbleweeds blowing in the streets so to speak because the streets are deserted.Kind of busy in the day but really dead at nite.I bet if ya look up Sallina Kansas in the dictionary it would read low,slow and boring but I like it that way.Not much industry here.Excide,phillips electonics and rayathon aircraft.I work Moving and Storage.Move mostly seniors and such in from the surrounding farms.There used to be an air base here but it has long since closed.I live in what used to be the officers housing on Schilling Air base.And yes we do have a wal mart but then who doesnt.Right across form the wal mart is a pumpkin farm and every year this time the old boy is ready to harvest and sell to the halloween crowd.Nearby we have Manhatten(The little Apple) which is a neat little town.All in all I must give this tiny place a thumbs up.Of course being born and raised in south Texas cow country it would only be natural for me to find a place like this.How do you rate your town.
The backwoods where I spent most of my life and will soon return there.Nothing a city has to offer can compare to a pine covered mountain,blue sky,clean air,quiet nites,star filled sky and clear water streams.The city is a place of dull gray concrete,crime,garbage,traffic,noise,violence and many other things that lead me to believe that the whole concept of a city was a bad idea.
I almost forgot: Lives in America/The last time I met someone from here I went to England and altho I had a great time the security b/s was off the scale and dont want to do that again/The Brits were a blast
I used to drive cross country in my work so it was easy to meet new folks.Now I would do a cam befor going all that distance since I dont travel anymore.Good point tho.
there are lots of good guys.I was told once by a gal pal that women are so surrounded by bad guys that when they meet a good guy they dont know how to act and run for cover.Now mind you this is from a female friend.
as a general rule the folks I have met online then in person were right on.The biggest offence seems to be the photos do not reflect how they really look.
Was 20 years old when my first wife died.She was 19 and the center of my universe.I will untill the day I go, see in my minds eye that punk,his gun and the hear sound of that hammer clicking back.To this day I am ever amazed I even survived that dark time in my life.I do know that all I was,all I was to become died that day with her.
Photos are years old and do not reflect what a person really looks like.I have met in person a few and was very insulted.I felt I was lied to.Then comes the emails.They never seem to have enuf manners to respond and this even happens with so called friends on the friends list.I no longer care and it is real rare I even send mail anymore.What would be the point when no answer comes.I am here for the forums.

You wake up one morning and dont know the woman in bed with you. All the kids at work call you old man. You cant see close up and have to wear glasses to shave. 35 years old and still cant grow a beard. The mice are chasing the cat.
since all life is connected one should watch the words they use.What is said can travel around the globe in a short time changing attitudes and altering life in a negative way for all those involved.
