I guess that I really can't say anything in this thread. Being a member of the forces and working on a base, i dont have to woory about buying or renting a place.
But i have been thinking of moving in somewhere and settling in under a different roof. I am amazed and in awe where some people are stuck paying almost $1000 for an apartment and now I hear something about a rental cap being removed?! OMG - here I thought paying $600 a month for a 3 bedroom house back in Moose Jaw was bad!
AS for being a "ton of work" in Edmonton, I have seen poster after poster of businesses looking to hire, but the cost of living is forcing so many out of their homes and even out of the city.
Dinner at the Olive Garden was fantastic, seeing that this was only my second trip to one ..... ever!
As an update for everyone, Kelly had fun embarassing the waiter, DAN; poor kid - I think he maybe scared for life! Will Kelly be posting a pic of him here? Don't know? Now, that I think of it ...... not a single one of us finished our own meals! Cyndee seem was cut off from drinks only several munites into the dinner for spilling my drink, good thing it was on me - it was some kind of "wild Berry" smoothie with vodca in it.
*note - if attending something like the Olive Garden with groups up to and over 8 people, the restaurants will charge you for the tip for the waiter! Sorry, for those of you who have experienced it - this was a first for me!
THe Ivory Club was the highlight of the night! I was expecting to walk into a large room and two huge grand piano's sitting on a stage in the corner, thats not what we got. Kelly reserved us a table right next to the mini grands' and within reaching distance of the players. The players were great - the entire 5 hour show was not about what THEY playedm they played ONLY what was requested. From Johnny Cash to Nickelback, from Britney Spears to Diana Straits. Note to self, when requesting a song - leave more then a Twoonie ......
Again Kelly - good job and well done! So, now that this event is over, and Kelly is taking a break - what shall we do for next month?
I'm afraid Im not much a religious person, nor do I gamble much ........ I just figured if your going to read a thread ..... you should atleast say something!
I wasn't ...... LOL - just saying it was hot and was going to get even hotter! I just wished we didnt have to wear these darn uniforms in the heat! Dark color seems to attract it!
RE: If you could change any one thing about your country, what would it be?
