Rectangle: This is a transitional, temporary or chameleon shape. They are very perceptive and never study themselves introspectively (but when they do, things will be great). This shape presents at life landmarks such as adolescence and mid-life crisis. They are sociable, friendly, open-minded and unpredictable. They are looking for love and harmony, without personal commitment. They are motivated by the 4th emotional referral zone* and forgiveness. Their greatest fear is finding their true self and accountability (they live by "say what others need, and do what you want"). Enneagram** correlate: The mediator. Dress and material possessions: non-committal. A Rectangle likes structure and regularity. But she/he will establish it with organization, meetings, committees and so forth. This will have to be done the proper way, taking all rules and regulations into consideration. If given a task she/he will start organizing to be sure it can be done the most systematic way. The Rectangle is a convergent thinker working towards something specific and finite, and the rectangle does things in a logical and systematic way. But rectangles might be lacking in personal creativity. If things need to be organized amongst a group of people, then the Rectangle is most likely to make that happen. A Rectangle needs to see how things are organized. A Rectangle needs to make a systematic overview and will probably also enjoy understanding the principles of a situation. A Rectangle is comfortable knowing and noticing that systematic techniques are being used and that he/she is in control.
Triangle: These people are headliners. They are highly charged and always on the go. Emotions are not often shown. They like to hold a high moral ground and to convince others they are right. They can be great lovers. They are motivated by the 2nd emotional referral zone* and the desire to reach their highest potential. They are afraid of an unfair advantage being held over them. When upset, they want things done now. When under stress they become belligerent. If they are made to solve someone else's problems, at the expense of being heard themselves, they become angry. Enneagram** correlate: The perfectionist, the boss. Dress and material possessions: value oriented. A Triangle is goal oriented. A Triangle enjoys planning something out and then doing it. Triangles are motivated by the accomplishment. Triangles tend to look at big long-term issues, but might forget the details. When given a task a triangle will set a goal and work on a plan for it. A Triangle needs to see a goal and needs to see some accomplishments. Triangles appreciate having a chart of steps to follow. Triangles will take great pleasure in checking off each item that gets done. It should always be clear what the underlying intention is. If the direction is agreed upon, the Triangle can be quite flexible in how to get there. Triangles are convergent thinkers. They are working towards something specific and finite, and they do it in a logical and systematic way. But they might be lacking in personal creativity. A Triangle might be a good executive, setting goals and making sure they are met
OK....I'll post the explanations.....lots of circles I see!
Explanation of shapes: You can have a primary…and then a secondary…. The Enneagram provides a greater level of insight into the challenge that each of us faces. While nine distinct personality types (enneagram) are defined, each has an underlying issue associated with it. If you want the Enneagrams…mail me and I’ll give you the site…
The colors tests I had a class in were called True-Colors...you can google it for the site...but you can't take the testing for free...you can just get a description of the colors...
The shape test is good...I had a seminar from the developer of it at work...
Pick one of the following shapes...the one that appeals to you the most.........
Circle, Square, Rectangle, Triangle, or Sqiggly line
I find the map and draw a straight line Over rivers, farms, and state lines The distance from A to where you'd be It's only finger-lengths that I see I touch the place where I'd find your face My finger in creases of distant dark places
I hang my coat up in the first bar There is no peace that I've found so far The laughter penetrates my silence As drunken men find flaws in science
Their words mostly noises Ghosts with just voices Your words in my memory Are like music to me
I'm miles from where you are, I lay down on the cold ground and I, I pray that something picks me up And sets me down in your warm arms
After I have travelled so far We'd set the fire to the third bar We'd share each other like an island Until exhausted, close our eyelids And dreaming, pick up from The last place we left off Your soft skin is weeping A joy you can't keep in
I'm miles from where you are, I lay down on the cold ground And I, I pray that something picks me up and sets me down in your warm arms
And miles from where you are, I lay down on the cold ground and I, I pray that something picks me up and sets me down in your warm arms
I took a class on Jung's personality...have a text on it around here somewhere...there are two other good ones....one with colors, and one with shapes...I'll have to see if I can find a site for them later....It's really interesting stuff...
Spending a little time online is fun and healthy...but if she doesn't get any time with him...that's an issue...she needs to talk with him about it...and offer alternatives she'll find out how serious the problem is!
