God, see him clearly!

We want to worship a living God. I have not seen anything but God all my life, nor have you. To see this chair you first see God, and then the chair in and through Him. He is everywhere, saying, "I am." The moment you feel "I am," you are conscious of Existence. Where shall we go to find God if we cannot see Him in our... own hearts and in every living being? - Vivekananda

In regards to the creation of the universe, a creator, science,
and origins of matter, I like to think of God as the one who somehow had access to the incredible amount of energy required to begin or guide the process that created primordial matter and started the whole creation / evolutionary process going – perhaps the one who created the gravitational singularity from which the universe exploded (or as some like to say, God is the one who pulled the trigger that started the Big Bang). God, as pure spirit, outside of time and matter, seems to me to require no origin. In the realm of spirit, everything maybe just BE and causality does not behave in a way that I can understand any more than I can truly understand the mathematical model that proves the existence of Black Holes (that no human eye has ever seen). But that does not mean that God is the answer to everything we cannot (or do not want to) understand or deal with. On the contrary I believe that humans can eventually understand – even only with abstract mathematical models –
nearly every question we are capable of asking about the universe in which we live.

Arrogance has certainly been a great human fault that lives in all of us to some degree it seems. Like most faults, it is a good trait that has been perverted or misused. (I think the good trait is the desire that people have to grow and become more than they are. That goal requires a lot of work and patience, however, and we are drawn to shortcuts and easier paths. Unfortunately, the easier paths – while seeming to lead us to the same destination – actually lead us away from what we originally pursued.)

RE: Those Who Don't Believe in God or Jesus...

What is the greatest and most powerful thing that Man has ever created…& you start thinking about space-ships and super computers…et all…. but, deep inside I know that it is really GOD which is man’s greatest creation as HE has ruled and mesmerized humans for more than 10, 000 years, and will continue to do so…forever…until people can set themselves free…. from something which they have created anyway…
I can see the comparison between thoughts of my close friend let's say this friend as X (dying of brain tumor) and mine, thoughts on religion, altruistic interests in helping people, but he make a proposal to me…
What is “IS?”
In order to answer this, please bear,

Think of ‘nothing.’ Think of the absence of anything at all…the absence of the very state that the word’is’ implies. Thing of nothing whatsoever existing…not even the space that everything would be missing from.

Then think of ‘everything’. Relative to the ‘absolute nothing’, everything/reality is a fairly absurd concept to begin with when you really consider it.

Now, consider the step towards the Creator of everything…something/one that ‘bridges the gap’ between nothing and reality.

A jump from nothing to reality is a fairly big jump in logic, when you really consider it…so that extra step of connecting the two an omnipotent Creator no longer seems such a large step. Or, in other words, if you are absurd enough to believe in reality, relative to nothing…then believing in God may not seem any more of a jump in logic. Or better put…as he proposed to me ‘give me fifty per cent chance that there is God…no more, no less…if you believe in reality relative to the lack of it, then give me a fifty-fifty that there is God’. Well, in my case that I granted it. He may not have pushed me to religion or values of it, but we were able to make each other think…and this was a good thing.

One other thought, 'X' came up with years has to do with science. Maybe you can tell me what you think? He believes science proves the existence of God. Now before you tell me that he is nuts…let me explain...
First, what is science, he propose science in the broader sense, explains to us why things are the way they are…in a logical manner. In other words, science is the study of origin…of what caused something to be the way it is…it is the ‘cause’ behind the ‘effect’. As an example the earth…why is it here? The cause is from the creation of the solar system. But the creation of the solar system is in itself, not an origin…it is the effect of the creation of the universe…and so on. In other words, if science explains origin…yet can only explain things with answers that only beget more questions…it never comes up with the ultimate ‘origin’, and in doing so, really does not truly explain anything…at least not to the standard it uphold itself to…that is, explaining why things are the way they are. It only explains things in the form of other things that can be just as easily questioned.

Another way to put it is that asking where something comes from eventually ends up in a cause that is only itself an effect of something else. In the end, you have an ‘infinite’ number of causes, but never an origin. IN FACT infinity itself is mathematical (scientific) proof that you do not have an origin! So, if science is the study of origin, of why something is the way it is…since it can never fully explain anything…it can never meet its own criteria!

So, he proposes to me that science proves God. Since science is or origin, yet science cannot come up with an origin, there must be something outside of science that is the origin for science to begin with.

Tell me what you think! I am on thinking cap here too. I very much enjoy these deeper thoughts…
